CHOOSE YOUR OWN AFTER PODCAST
Episode 10 – October 28, 2021 – Full of fiery passion and not afraid to speak her mind, this American now settled in Canuck-land is gracious with sharing her stories that illustrate her most profound moments of growth. Having just turned 64, Deb has learned a lot on her journey to the new life she is now creating for herself: the culture shock of a move from the US to Canada, dealing with fertility issues, divorce after a 35 year marriage, a painful disconnect with loved ones, and finally, finding unconditional love again. We touch on themes like faith, starting over, sports and the arts. Like her writing on our Willowjak blog, we’ve seen and heard her colourful use of language and many musical references and as is written in her own words “here comes the new generation of old ladies, and we’re comin’ in hot.”

Here is a little clip:

I’m Stacey—writer, family caregiver/autism consultant, solo parent of three, and founder of Willowjak Services (aka your favourite chaos coordinator). This work? It’s my lifeline, born from lived experience and middle-of-the-night “there has to be a better way” moments. I cut through red tape, decode jargon, and help fellow caregivers find their footing in the mess.I show up real, raw, and a little unfiltered—sharing my own hurdles and heartaches so you know you’re not the only one yelling “WTF?” into your coffee at 2 a.m.
Deb!!!!!
