Wellness Wednesday: How to Calm Your Nervous System

On edge? Here are some helpful tips of what you can add to your tool chest to calm yourself when your regular coping mechanisms are not available.

  1. Make sure your sleep is in order. Consult a professional (your MD, a naturopath or Dr. Jen! on different ideas to accomplish this).
  2. Nourish your body. Eat slowly and mindfully.
  3. Consider incorporating supplements in consultation with a professional.
  4. Watch the video for your own acupressure to help “calm the mind”.
  5. Lay on the ground – ground yourself.
