Some of you have been with us since the beginning. We started out with a little goal to create a platform to share our stories with the hope that it helped, or touched, or informed someone else about lives that we don’t normally hear about.
Day by day, our little Willowjak community grew and it started taking on a life of its own.
We started on a Journey to Wellness, but when we decided to lean into the growth of our little project, we started to see some cool things happening that we hadn’t planned. We were creating a community that gave a voice to those who aren’t often heard and every writer who shared their stuff, approached their writing with an authenticity and vulnerability that we didn’t expect. This is a place where I want to live.
Amy and Liza have worked really hard on our social media and we have a growing community happening on Instagram as well. If you aren’t following us yet, you’ll have to give us an add.
So now that you’re part of our Willowjak family, we hope you plan to stay. We are growing up and have some new goals. Things might look a little different in the months to come, but we promise that the quality and the authenticity of what we put out, will only improve.
We are growing UP! Come grow with us.
We ask that you watch for some of these changes that are coming and hope you can help us out a little when needed:
- new ways to read our blog posts
- watch Instagram and Facebook stories to see videos of the people behind Willowjak and the boys (Will & Owen) who inspired it
- upcoming Willowjak merch designed by Will
- a new little business venture for Owen & Will in the Durham Region (Ontario) for all the pet lovers
- Stay tuned as we introduce a new project that will bring Stacey & Liza into your earbuds very soon.. we might just invite you to join us for a chin-wag

Above all else, we want to thank YOU.
Thank you for reading along. Thank you for sharing your comments. Thank you for being invested in learning about others and growing your community. Thank you for cheering us on.
Thank you for growing with us.
I’m trying my best to pay it forward by dealing hope and sharing stories & tips on caregiving and how to survive hard things. I blog a lot about single parenting my adult twin sons who both have autism, and the challenges we face in surviving the everyday challenges and planning for a future full of unknowns.
I find the stories are well written an always find there is something I can take away from each. Thank you.
You’ve been one of our greatest cheerleaders since the beginning, Nancy. I’m happy that you find take-aways and appreciate that you’re still with us to see us through to the next stage. š
